Namasté |
Namasté is such a beautiful word. When two Indians greet each other, they place their palms together and hold them at the middle of their chest in a beautiful gesture called namaskara mudra, and they say namasté (naa maa stay), or namaskara (naa maa scar ahh). The Sanskrit word namaskara literally means "I see God working through you." The more commonly used word today, namasté, means similarly "I witness God, or the Divine Essence within you."It can also be seen as a beautiful way of simply saying, "the Divine in me recognizes the Divine in you!" What a wonderful way to greet someone!Namasté my Divine friend, and welcome to the Yoga Life! I offer you my pranams (blessings) and I'm excited to embark on this journey with you.Rest assured that I will guide you throughout this training program, to the best of my ability, along the wonderful road of discovery that is the yogic path. |
